Service Description

Upon completion of this course, the international student will be prepared for regular Global English classes, other college writing assignments, and business writing in the marketplace; students will demonstrate the ability to do the following:  · Write longer, more complex sentences incorporating the grammatical structures  · Write an essay persuading someone about his or her point of view. · Applying, revising, and editing techniques to their own writing. · Demonstrate an understanding of the interrelationship between conjunctions, linking verbs, and transitional phrases.   · The grammar component of the curriculum places a significant emphasis on the intricate structures of: English language, specifically targeting adjective, adverbial, and noun clauses. These elements are essential for constructing complex sentences that enhance clarity and depth in writing. Through targeted exercises and guided practice, students will engage in writing more sophisticated formal essays that adhere to various academic modes. These modes include narration, which allows for storytelling through personal experiences or historical accounts; comparison, which facilitates the exploration of similarities and differences between subjects; and emphasis, which helps to highlight key points and arguments effectively. Additionally, the curriculum incorporates essential skills in revising and editing, enabling students to refine their work and improve their writing quality. By mastering these components, learners will not only enhance their grammatical proficiency but also develop the ability to convey their ideas more persuasively and coherently across different types of academic writing. · Students are exposed to aspects of statistical choices and sentence varieties to become an Etymologist (wordsmiths).
